Funding

NSPIRG has been funding social and environmental justice projects in Nova Scotia since 1990.

Here’s how to apply.

NSPIRG welcomes funding proposals for research projects that focus on environmental or social justice issues and/or activities that promote the dissemination of relevant environmental and social justice research to the public.

All proposals must have a strong public education component. Aside from offering in-kind support, NSPIRG approves projects for funding amounts between $5 and $500, subject to the Board’s discretion.

Completed applications can be emailed in or dropped off at the NSPIRG offices in room B24 of the Dalhousie SUB (bottom floor of the building near the bookstore, across the hall from DalOUT). If you are applying for funding please make sure that the budget is clear and the amount requested specifically outlined. You should also be prepared to make a presentation to the board of directors if necessary.

Upcoming application deadlines:

July 14th, 4pm (Atlantic Standard Time)

For other forms of assistance (logistics, campaign endorsement, outreach, publishing, etc.), please contact us at info@nspirg.ca for details.
